Fifty-five alleged fraudsters have been arrested by operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, in Kwara State capital. They were arrested on Wednesday at different locations in Offa, Offa Local Government Area of the state, according to Dele Oyewole, the Head of Media and Publicity of the anti-graft agency. The statement disclosed that they were arrested in a sting operation in their hideouts following credible intelligence on their suspected involvement in internet-related offences. Electricity has been restored in Plateau, Bauchi, Gombe, and Benue states under the Jos Electricity Distribution franchise. The Nigeria Police Force has announced the arrest of 1, 247 suspects including a major arms dealer and recovered 3,172 series of ammunition within the month of October, 2024, in its bid to fight crimes in the country. Five persons have been reportedly found dead in a room at Afashio community, Uzairue in Etsako West Local Government government Area of Edo State.
