The Managing Director of the Ogun-Osun River Basin Development Authority, Dr Deji Ashiru, has cautioned residents of Isheri in the Ifo Local Government Area to stop blaming the Oyan Dam for their plight, and rather appreciate its efforts in controlling the influx of water. The Ekiti State Police Command has declared an 84-year-old man, Adeyemi Yisa Agboola of No. 26, Similoluwa Area, Ado-Ekiti, missing. According to a statement by the Public Relations Officer of the command, Abutu Sunday, the man left home to an unknown destination on October 18, 2024, at 1 pm and has never returned since then. All efforts by his family members to know his whereabouts have so far not been fruitful. The 84-year-old is described as fair-complexioned, 5 feet 9 inches tall, with no tribal marks. The Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL, has fined Enyimba one million naira for misconduct capable of bringing the game into disrepute. Enyimba were also charged with breaching the NPFL Framework and Rules in the course of their matchday nine fixture against Ikorodu City at the Enyimba Stadium on Sunday. The naira appreciated against the dollar on Tuesday at the official foreign exchange market. FMDQ data showed that the naira gained at N1630.35 per dollar on Tuesday from N1670.65 exchanged on Monday. This represents N40.3 appreciation. Meanwhile, at the black market, the naira dropped further to N1748 per dollar on Tuesday from N1746 traded the previous day.
