A Jos Magistrates’ Court on Monday sentenced a 25-year-old security guard, Lucky Bulus, to 18 months in prison for stealing 350 litres of diesel. The Magistrate, Shawomi Bokkos, summarily tried and sentenced Bulus after he pleaded guilty to the charge. Bokkos, in his judgement, ordered the convict to pay an option of N30,000 fine or spend six months in prison and a compensation of N150,000 or another year in jail in default.
