A Chief Magistrate in Ondo State, Olateju Odenusi-Fadeyi, has remanded a 15-year-old female student of Anglican Grammar School, Arigidi Akoko, for allegedly stabbing her 17-year-old colleague, Habib Salau, to death. The magistrate ordered her remand at the Ondo State Juvenile Home in Akure, pending advice from the office of the Directorate of Public Prosecutions (DPP). The Federal Government, through the National Bureau of Statistics, NBS, has said that prices of essential food items, including beans, eggs, bread, rice and tomatoes, experienced robust hikes in September 2024. The NBS made this known in its Selected Food Prices Watch report for September 2024 released in Abuja on Wednesday.
