President Bola Tinubu has appointed Bianca Ojukwu as a minister in his cabinet. Bianca, widow of late Biafra warlord, Emeka Odumegwu Ojukwu, is among the new ministers appointed by the President. The appointment was announced on Wednesday in a statement issued by the Presidency after the Federal Executive Council meeting. Jumoke Oduwole was appointed as the minister of industry, Trade and Investment while Bianca Ojukwu was named the Minister of State, Foreign Affairs. Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) says the driver of a truck has escaped after his truck and a commercial motorcyclist collided in the Apapa area of the state. The incident led to the death of the motorcyclist while passenger was injured. LASTMA’s General Manager, Mr Olalekan Bakare-Oki disclosed this in a statement on Wednesday in Lagos. Governor Nasir Idris of Kebbi State on Wednesday signed into law a new minimum wage of N75,000 for the state’s civil servants. The governor signed the new bill in the presence of the National President of Nigeria Labour Congress, Mr Joe Ajero, and other executives of the union at Government House, Birnin Kebbi. DAILY POST reports that Lagos, Rivers, Kogi, Ogun, amongst other states have also approved new minimum wages for civil servants.
