A former governor of Ekiti State, Ayo Fayose, has said it would need God’s intervention and miracle for the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, to survive its current crisis. Togo, Benin international bilateral electricity customers owed Nigeria a total sum of $5.79 million as electricity debt in the second quarter of 2024. The Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission disclosed this in their latest second-quarter 2024. According to NERC’s data, out of the $15.60m invoice issued by the market operator between April and June 2024, the international customers remitted only $9.81 million to the country. The Lagos State Traffic Management Authority, LASTMA, has confirmed an accident involving a fully loaded tanker that experienced brake failure, resulting in the loss of three lives. The General Manager of LASTMA, Mr Olalekan Bakare-Oki, said the incident occurred at approximately 6:00 p.m. on Sunday at Second Rainbow, inward Mile 2 along Oshodi-Apapa Expressway.
