Transmission Company of Nigeria, TCN, said it has restored bulk power supply to Gombe-Damaturu-Maiduguri 330 kilovolt transmission line. Spokesperson of TCN Ndidi Mbah disclosed this in a statement on Friday. This comes after transmission line was vandalized on September 22, 2024, which plunged the area into darkness. Twelve days to the end of Governor Godwin Obaseki’s eight years in Edo State, the state Accountant General, Mr Julius Anelu and four officials of the government have allegedly been arrested by the operatives of the Economic and Financial Crime Commission, EFCC. The Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Akinloye Owolabi Olakulehin, has enjoined the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) and the State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA) to provide relief materials to victims of Thursday’s building collapse. A High-Level Peace and Reconciliation Committee of the Pan-Niger Delta Forum, PANDEF, headed by the former Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Obong Victor Attah, has been formed to address ongoing tensions between the Federal Capital Territory Minister, Nyesom Wike and Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara, as well as other conflicts in the Niger Delta.
