A 23-year-old labourer,Abdulwahab Yusuf, has been arraigned before the Sharia Court in Kano for allegedly stealing cow skin (ponmo) valued at N8,500. The accused who resides in Tukuntawa Quarters, is facing charges of theft as he appeared before Judge Umar Lawal-Abubakar on Tuesday. During the proceedings, Yusuf pleaded guilty to the charges, leading Judge Lawal-Abubakar to order his remand in a correctional centre. The National Emergency Management Agency has distributed relief items to victims of windstorms in the Ijumu and Lokoja Local Government Areas of Kogi State. The affected  communities,were ; Iyara, Ayetoro, Agbaja, and Jamata in both LGAs, were affected by a windstorm that destroyed houses in March.
