The  First Bank of Nigeria Limited’s Senior Management Development Programme (SMDP) in Lagos State has graduated 20 persons in it’s fourth edition. This was made known in a statement issued by the bank on Monday. PLATFORM TIMES gathered that prior to  the 2023 graduation the SMDP had produced 52 graduates. A recently released report by the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) sheds light on the National Identity Registration Statistics for the year 2022, revealing that a substantial number of Nigerians pursued the acquisition of National Identity Numbers (NIN) during this period. The report, titled “National Identity Registration Statistics 2022,” was unveiled on the NBS website on Monday. According to the findings, a total of 22,492,748 Nigerians successfully completed the registration process and were issued NIN in 2022. Aminat Gusanu The Nigerian Air Force NAF on Monday said its Special Forces on night patrol at the weekend near Birnin Gwari in Kaduna State, rescued seven kidnapped victims, comprising six females and a male.  The NAF spokesperson Air Commodore Edward Gabkwet, while inform the female victims on interrogation, revealed that they were kidnapped from Paikoro in Niger State while the lone male victim stated that he was picked up against his will from Rijau in Niger State. Israel Adeleke The Osun State Amotekun Corps, has arrested an ex-convict for allegedly trying to abduct 8 year old girl in the state. Aminat Gusanu Indigenous contractors on Monday, issued a seven-day ultimatum to the Federal Ministry of Works, demanding the immediate payment of funds owed to them for contract execution.  The contractors allege that the ministry has deliberately failed to process their files and ensure timely payment, while foreign contractors are being paid promptly. The Lagos State Government has ordered that the facility managers be sacked and the firm blacklisted immediately. The government has also suspended the General Manager of the Lagos State Infrastructure and Asset Management Agency (LASIAMA), Adenike Adekanbi, for not properly overseeing the activities of the agency. The suspension of the LASIAMA boss followed the death of a medical doctor, Vwaere Diaso, due to elevator collapse at the Lagos General Hospital, Odan, on August 1, 2023. Borno State Governor, Babagana Zulum, has doled out N4.1 million to 23 graduating students and 12 others, who memorised the Holy Qur’an. Zulum said each of the beneficiaries would received N250,000, while 11 others who completed their primary education but could not memorise the Holy Qur’an would get N100,000 each. The governor approved N80 million grant to Guwori Islamic Academy in Jere Local Government Area of the state. Zulum, announced this at the graduation ceremony of the school on Sunday.
