Fawaz Adebisi President Bola Tinubu has formally informed the Senate of his decision to withdraw the nomination of a controversial  Kano nominee, Maryam Shetty as a Minister. The president also told the Senate that he would be replacing her with the nomination of  Mairiga Mahmud, also  from Kano State. The president took this step on Friday, as he expanded the roster of ministerial nominees to include  his campaign spokesperson, Festus Keyamo, SAN. The West African Examination Council (WAEC) took a surprising turn as it submitted a Certified True Copy of Ogun State, Governor Dapo Abiodun’s result to  the Ogun State Election Petition Tribunal. This move comes after an earlier claim that the council does not retain duplicate certificates. The Zamfara State Governor, Dauda Lawal, on Thursday, reported that  four women abducted have been  rescued from kidnappers. The women had appeared in a two-minute-19-seconds video clip released by the terrorists a few weeks ago, appealing to the Governor to help in facilitating their rescue.
