The national leadership of the Nigeria Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE) has expelled two of its ex-officials in Abia State over alleged anti-union activities. The Standard Organisation of Nigeria (SON) has shut down a fake fertilizer site and arrested the producer of the product, Ibrahim Ahmed, at Chinade in Katagum Local Government of Bauchi State. The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA, has reacted to the shooting of two persons in Mushin, Lagos by its operatives during a clash with a drug baron. Kidnappers have demanded a sum of N15 million after kidnapping a retired teacher, Banjo Idowu, on his farm in Osun state.
