The All Progressives Congress, APC, has alleged that the New Nigeria Peoples Party, NNPP, planned to prosecute the upcoming local government elections in Kano State with funds diverted from local government councils. Police officers in Ogun State have arrested Alex Eziochukwu in connection to the death of 16-year-old Jamilu Lasisi in Ibegba, Sagamu Local Government Area of the state. The Federal Government has approved the increase of the monthly allowance of the members of the National Youth Service Corps, NYSC, to N77,000 with effect from July 2024.
