The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command has confirmed that an alleged internet fraudster, who confined a young lady for money rituals in Abuja, has been arrested by operatives of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC). The Director-General, the National Emergency Management Agency, NEMA, Dr Hajiya Zubaida Umar has revealed that so far, 1,061,254 Nigerians have been affected by the flood, 634,035 displaced and 94,741 houses submerged across the country this year. An Ikeja Chief Magistrates’ Court on Thursday remanded a 53-year-old man, Bitrus Daniyan, in a Correctional Centre for alleged indecent sexual assault of his seven-year-old daughter. The Magistrate, Mrs E. Kubeinje, who did not take Daniyan’s plea, ordered that the case file be sent to the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) for advice.
