Popular native doctor, “Akwa Okuko Tiwaraki” has been kidnapped by gunmen in Oba, Idemili North Local Government Area of Anambra State. Peace Adedigba No fewer than 8,592 traffic offenders have been arrested for committing various offences numbering 179,165 in three months. The Federal Road Safety Corps while sharing its second quarter report, said 210,404 road traffic offenders were stopped while 45,335 drivers were cautioned against all manners of non compliance with traffic regulations. The Corps disclosed this on Monday, in a statement signed by the Education Officer for the FRSC, Marshal Bisi Kazeem. The Enugu State Government on Monday, shut 106 shops and two banks for allegedly observing Monday’s sit-at-home order by a faction of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra. Ogun State government on Monday, announced it’s plans to start paying  a sum.of N10,000 to the civil servants and pensioners as part of it’s  series of palliatives to cushion the effect of subsidy removal on fuel. No fewer than 529 foreign-trained medical and dental graduates have reportedly failed the council examinations to enable them practise in Nigeria. PLATFORM TIMES reports that the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria disclosed this. The MDCN explained that 704 medical and 30 dental foreign-trained graduates participated in the assessment examination following which only 189 medical graduates and 16 dental graduates passed the examination. It also revealed that 515 medical graduates and 14 dental graduates failed the examination. The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet) has predicted cloudiness and thunderstorms from Monday to Wednesday across the country. PLATFORM TIMES gathered that NiMet’s weather output released in Abuja predicted cloudy skies over the northern region on Monday with prospects of thunderstorms over parts of Kebbi and Taraba in the morning hours.
