An Ikeja Chief Magistrates’ Court on Thursday remanded a 53-year-old man, Bitrus Daniyan, in a Correctional Centre for alleged indecent sexual assault of his seven-year-old daughter. The Magistrate, Mrs E. Kubeinje, who did not take Daniyan’s plea, ordered that the case file be sent to the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) for advice. Rivers State Police Command says its operatives have rescued a teenager, who was kidnapped in Enugu and transported to Port Harcourt in a ‘Ghana-Must-Go’ bag.
