A 42-year-old man, Chukwuemeka Nwachukwu on Friday was dragged before an Ojo Magistrates’ Court in Lagos for allegedly duping one Pastor Oliver Ogbuagu of N1 million. The defendant was said to have obtained the money under a false pretence to help th cleric purchase a Volkswagen T4 bus. Nwachukwu was arraigned before Magistrate D.S. Odukoya, on a two-count charge of obtaining money by fraud and stealing. Nwachukwu, however, pleaded not guilty to the charge. The Prosecutor, Insp. Two pilots on board of a fighter jet belonging to the Nigerian Air Force on Friday escaped death as the aircraft crashed in Makurdi, Benue State capital. The Ogun State Government has organized a three day training for Accounting Officers and Heads of Revenue Generating Agencies in Ministries, Departments and Agencies MDAs. No fewer than 30 inmates including four minors from Correction Centres in Lagos and Ogun states have been freed by the Chief Judge of Lagos State, Jus­tice Kazeem Alogba . A man, Charles Michael has been arrested alongside six others by police in Rivers for allegedly selling his three children for N1.5 million. Michael, blamed economic hardship for his action, saying he was unable to take care of the children.
