The Lagos State Government has extended its work-from-home policy for workers for the next three months to alleviate the hardship orchestrated by the hike in petrol pump prices. The State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu approved the extension in a circular signed by the state Head of Service, Bode Agoro, on Wednesday. Unidentified gunmen have reportedly shot a security guard at the Action People’s Party (APP) secretariat in Port Harcourt, Rivers State. This is coming barely a month after the party’s secretariat in the New GRA of Port Harcourt was bombed. Two Nigerian nationals, Franklin Ifeanyichukwu Okwonna, 34, and Ebuka Raphael Umeti, 35, have been sentenced to prison for their roles in a wire fraud scheme that resulted in over $5 million in losses. The sentences were announced by the U.S. Department of Justice (DoJ) on Wednesday. Operatives of the Nasarawa State Police Command attached to Kadarko Division have arrested one Isa Usman, a quack medical doctor.
