Isma’il Gali Falke is set to be named new captain of Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL, side, Shooting Stars. Falke will replace Waheed Omololu who left the club following the expiration of his contract. The right-back was Shooting Stars second assistant captain last season. Falke captained the Oluyole Warriors in pre-season. The 22-year-old has been at the club since 2021. Falke has made 58 League appearances for Gbenga Ogunbote’s side. A mob of enraged youths on Tuesday brutally killed and set ablaze an unidentified man for allegedly attempting to steal a motorcycle in Ilisan Remo, Ikenne Local Government Area of Ogun State. The Economic and Financial Commission (EFCC) on Wednesday said it has secured the conviction of no fewer than 39 internet fraudsters in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital. The commission noted that it secured the conviction and sentence of the 39 internet fraudsters from Justices O.S. Adeyemi, Bayo Taiwo and Ladiran Akintola, all of the Oyo State High Court, sitting in Ibadan.
