Oyo State Police Command on Tuesday arraigned a 39-year-old man, Ganiyu Abiola, over alleged defamation of the character of a police officer through Facebook and WhatsApp. Abiola, whose address was not provided, is facing a two-count charge of defamation and breach of peace before an Iyaganku Chief Magistrates’ Court. The Dangote Group said its 650,000 barrels per day Lagos-based refinery has started processing Premium Motor Spirit and the product will soon hit the Nigerian market. The Kano State Police Command said its officers have arrested 35 suspects in connection with various crimes in the last month. Ten members of the #endbadgovernance protesters were on Monday arraigned before a Federal High Court in Abuja on charges of attempting to overthrow President Bola Ahmed Tinubu between July 1 and August 4 this year.
