A strong indication has emerged that no fewer than 100 Generals have been given a July 3, 2023, deadline to retire from the service. This development was as a result of the appointment of new service chiefs by President Bola Tinubu. The National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) has raised the alarm, warning the public against a contaminated batch of unwholesome Sprite 50cl glass bottles circulating in Nigeria. The agency which said this in a statement, explaining that the product was discovered following a consumer complaint received and investigated by the post-marketing surveillance unit of the Agency. An Islamic cleric, Raji Abdul-Ganiyy, has criticised the recent killing of a butcher, Usman Buda, in Sokoto over the allegations of blaspheming against Prophet Muhammad, saying the act was due to a misunderstanding of the precepts of Islam.
