A flood has swept away a middle-aged man, identified simply as Glory, on Friday. at Bethel Estate, a community in Oba-Ile, Akure, the Ondo State. The operatives of the Ebonyi State Police Command have killed three of the suspected killers of an official of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Emmanuel Igwe, and rescued his kidnapped wife, Charity. Igwe, an Assistant Electoral Officer (AEO) of INEC, was on Sunday, killed by gunmen along the Ishiagu-Mpu Road and abducted his wife. No fewer than three persons have been abducted on Saturday in two villages in Imeko-Afon local government area of Ogun State. Fawaz Adebisi A commander of the Islamic State of West African Province (ISWAP), has been confirmed dead, three days after being bitten by a snake in Borno state. The commander, who was identified as Kiriku, by a counter-insurgency expert, Zagazola Makama, explained that the deceased was bitten in an ISWAP hideout in Damboa LGA of Borno.
