President Bola Tinubu will depart Abuja for Beijing, China, on Thursday for an official visit. A Magistrates’ Court in Kafanchan, Kaduna State on Thursday remanded a 38-year-old farmer, Timothy Sunday in a corrections centre for allegedly defiling an eight-year-old girl. The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corp, NSCDC charged Sunday with rape, contrary to section 257 of the Kaduna State Penal Code Law. The presiding judge, Michael Bawa, declined to take the plea of Sunday for lack of jurisdiction to hear the matter. The Canadian government has rolled out a policy preventing Nigerians and other holders of Canadian Visitor Visa from applying for a work permit within the country.
