A Federal High Court in Yenagoa on Friday dismissed a preliminary objection filed by a defence counsel challenging the prosecution powers of the Department of State Security to prosecute cybercrimes. On Oct. 18, 2021, the DSS arraigned a teenager before the court on one count of cyber-stalking. An Ondo state High Courthqs sentenced a 78-year-old man, Ojo Komolafe, to death for Killing Ondo Proprietor, Taofik Babalola. The convict was said to have shot Babalola to death on August 7, 2021, at Kajola Community in Odigbo Local Government Area of the state while he was sleeping. The Norwegian Government has committed an additional $4.5 million in support of the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organisation’s humanitarian activities in addressing the lingering crisis in the northeastern part of Nigeria. The FAO Representative in Nigeria and the Economic Community of West African States, Fred Kafeero, stated during the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding ceremony between the UN body and the Norwegian government in Abuja.
