A nine-year-old child has died and four other children severely burnt after their room was set on fire in Adamawa State. The five are children of one Daniel Cha’ama in Mubi Local Government Area, who is said to have been having a land dispute with one Nicodemus Ajaku who also lives in the area. Gunmen have killed one man and abducted two others in the Gadabuke community of Toto Local Government Area, Nasarawa State. The victim, identified as Garba Yakubu, was shot during the invasion of the residence of a man named Agaba Yakubu on Monday. The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) Tuesday said that it will hold mock accreditation of voters on September 10, 2024, ahead of Edo State governorship election scheduled for September 21, 2024. The Commission revealed that it has designated 12 Polling Units across six Local Government Areas (LGAs) covering the three Senatorial Districts of the State as centres for the mock accreditation.
