Fawaz Adebisi The Federal High Court sitting in Kaduna has sentenced an ex-Reps member, Mansur Mashi, and three officials of sterling Bank, Abdulmumini Mustapha, Shehu Aliyu and, Muazu Abdu, to prison for their involvement in a N212 million fraud. Men of the Lagos State Police Command have rescued a baby girl from under a parked bus in the Ketu area of the state. The House of Representatives has rejected a motion seeking to declare emigration of young Nigerians abroad, known as “Japa” syndrome, as a national emergency. This followed the adoption of a motion by Philip Agbese (APC-Benue) who was based in United Kingdom before becoming a lawmaker in Nigeria during plenary. The Sultan of Sokoto, Sa’ad Abubakar, on Thursday, has raised alarm over the possibility for outbreak of diseases in the the Internally Displaced Persons in six northern states.
