The Nasarawa State Police Command has arrested two men, Abubakar Ibrahim and Isah Ayuba, over the abduction and subsequent killing of one Felicia Namkywa, a petty trader. The Police Public Relations Officer of the state, DSP Ramhan Nansel said in a statement on Sunday that the arrest was carried out by police detectives attached to the Obi Division. The Labour Party, LP, governorship candidate in the last month Edo State gubernatorial election, Olumide Akpata, has said that he will not challenge the result of the election. Akpata emerged third with 22, 763 votes in the election. Daily Trust reports that a family source who did not want to be mentioned confirmed his death, saying the deceased was involved in an accident. Hundreds of Nigerian youths risked their lives as they happily scooped fuel from a fallen truck. The incident happened at about 4 pm near Okurikang Junction in Odukpani LGA. The truck fell as a result of a heavy downpour which made the Calabar-Itu federal road slippery as the ongoing rehabilitation of the road is witnessing snail speed.
