Sodiq Mojibola Tallest man in Nigeria, Afeez Agoro died in the early hours of Thursday, after he was rushed to the hospital on Wednesday following a health complication. Agoro, whose name became a popular pseudonym for tall people in Nigeria, died at the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LUTH) at age 48. The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) has expressed concern over the number of pregnant women that sneaked into Saudi Arabia for the ongoing Hajj exercise. A former federal commissioner of information and an elder statesman, Chief Edwin Clark has petitioned the Economic and Financial Crims Commission, accusing the immediate past Governor of Delta State, Ifeanyi Okowa, of misappropriating over N1 trillion. Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello, has sacked the state Commissioner for Agriculture, David Apeh, Special Adviser to the Governor on Emergency Management, Danladi Isah-Yunusa, and the Part-time Chairman of Kogi State Hotels and Tourism Board, Maryam Salifu. The Secretary to the State Government, Folashade Ayoade-Arike, disclosed this on Tuesday. Although no reason was given for Apeh’s sack, Ayoade-Arike noted that Bello approved the termination of his appointment with immediate effect.
