The Federal Government was reported to have flown in a Boeing 737-800 series aircraft belonging to Ethiopian Airlines into Abuja for the unveiling of Nigeria Air. A Senior Advocate of Nigeria, Femi Falana, on Sunday, advised the Department of State Services to transfer the suspended CBN governor, Godwin Emefiele, to the custody of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission for further investigation. Falana, in a statement on Sunday, advised DSS against bungling the case on legal technicalities. The Central Bank of Nigeria’s monthly economic report for February 2023 has revealed that the Federal Government spent a total of N408.5 billion, equivalent of 85.37 percent of its revenue on debt servicing. The CBN’s monthly economic report for February 2023 highlighted that the Federal Government had a total retained revenue of N478.57 billion during that month.
