The presidential election petition tribunal has dismissed an application filed by the Labour Party (LP) seeking to question the Independent National Electoral Commission on the technology deployed for the conduct of the election. A five-member panel led by Haruna Tsammani, held on Saturday, that the tribunal lacked the jurisdiction to grant the request because it was brought outside the pre-hearing session. The application, tagged CA/PEPC/03/2023, was filed by the LP and Peter Obi, the party’s presidential candidate. A court in Lagos has sentenced a woman, Rukayat Oderinde to 144 hours of community service by the court, for violating waste management regulations. The National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) has sealed a warehouse containing goods worth N1.9 billion in Idu, an outskirt of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT). The operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission have arrested no fewer than 52 suspected internet fraudsters in Ogun State. The EFCC spokesperson, Wilson Uwujaren, disclosed this in a statement on Friday.
