The Executive Director in charge of Operations of Ojulowo Omoluabi Empire Holding Limited, Josphine Amadi, has responded to a former House of Representative member in Osun state, Rotimi Makinde, who threatened to sue the company. Makinde’s legal threat was in reaction to the company’s request for a refund of about N28 million allegedly collected by the politician in respect of a contract which he failed to execute. The National Bureau of Statistics has disclosed that the electricity distribution companies, otherwise called Discos has collected N232.32bn in Q4, 2022, bringing the total revenue raked in by the companies in six months to N479.65bn The NBS said Discos collected N247.33bn as revenue in the first quarter of 2023. The NBS, according to the new Electricity Report for the first quarter of 2023, the total amount of revenue generated rose by 20.81 per cent despite a drop of 1.74 per cent in supply. Oyo State gov­ernment has described as fake the social media report that the new salary structure has been introduced . The Chief Press Secretary to Gov­ernor Seyi Makinde, Sulaimon Olanrewaju, said this on Wednesday. He stated that although the govern­ment is working on reviewing the current salary structure, the committee set up for that purpose was yet to turn in its report. “Therefore, the salary struc­ture being circulated could not have emanated from the state government. A 47-year-old acclaimed publisher/Editor-in-Chief of Daily Focus newspaper, Sanusi Inuwa has been sentenced by a Wuse Zone II Magistrates’ Court in Abuja, to three years in prison for N10.2 million fraud. The court imposed the sentence after finding Inuwa guilty of defrauding one Mr Hamza Galadima of the said amount. Magistrate Folashade Oyekan held that the police, who prosecuted the case, proved it beyond reasonable doubt. Fawaz Adebisi A   suspected thief, Aliu Salisu, has been arraigned before a magistrate court in Isabo, Abeokuta, Ogun state for allegedly  invading and stealing some people’s properties.
