The National Agency for Food, Drug Administration and Control has destroyed fake, unwholesome, counterfeit and substandard goods/products worth over N4.2 billion in Awka, Anambra State capital. A coalition of registered Political Parties in Ogun State has warned the state governor against engaging cheap propaganda and rumor peddling against the governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Oladipipo Adebutu . The parties also cautioned the Police against being used as an instrument to disrupt democracy in the State. No  fewer than 18 Nigerian lecturers have developed four prototype innovations to address the challenges of hunger, poverty, quality education, responsible consumption and production in the country. PLATFORM TIMES gathered that the prototypes were developed by lecturers from public higher institutions, under the Research for Impact (R4i), an initiative of Tertiary Education Trust Fund ,TETFund, in collaboration with Innov8 Hub. Former Minister of Petroleum resources, Diezani Alison-Madueke has told a federal high court in the Abuja division that cancer treatment made her stay away from the country since May 2015 . No fewer than 37 inmates have regained their freedom from the Kuje Medium Custodial Centre and Suleja Centre following payments of their fines. PLATFORM TIMES gathered that the inmates were fined from N15,000 to N130,000 but couid not pay which had made them remained in the center .
