An Ondo monarch, the Ajagun-Ode of Ode community, Oba Adewale Boboye has been sentenced to 10 years imprisonment for unlawfully demolishing palm trees and food crops. An Osi Magistrate Court, in Akure North council area of Ondo state who was sentenced had earlier been charged with malicious damage. A 40-year-old Lagos pastor, David Ihejirika, has been arraigned before the Magistrates’ Court sitting in Ojo, Lagos State, for allegedly defrauding a woman of N1.1 million. Ihejirika, who was arraigned before the court on Friday, was charged with obtaining money by false pretence, causing a breach of peace and theft. He, however, pleaded “not guilty” to the charge. A divorce-seeking husband, Oyeyinka Adegoke, on Friday, pleaded with a Mapo Grade A Customary Court in Ibadan to save him from his wife, Wuraola, whom he alleged was diabolic. The  Central Bank of Nigeria has hinted that the Federal Government spent $112.35m servicing external debt in January 2023 . The Apex bank disclosed this in it’s Weekly International Payments. The data from the CBN revealed that the amount spent in January was higher than $45.64m spent in December 2022 by 146.17 per cent. It was gathered that the Federation Account Allocation Committee shared N750.17bn among the three tiers of government in January 2023.
