The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control and Prevention has said that a total of 4,908 suspected cases have been recorded between January and April . The centre said Ondo is leading in the states ravaged by Lasser fever with 32 per cent while Edo and Bauchi were trailing it with 29 and 11 percent respectively . The Director General of National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control, Prof. Mojisola Adeyeye, has said that the agency wouid commence random testing of Indomie noodles in Nigeria. The development followed the recent cancer scare associated with Indomie noodles which necessitated the recall of the consumable product in Taiwan and Malaysia. The authorities in the countries recalled Indomie noodles over reports that they contain ingredients causing cancer. The Central Bank of Nigeria has denied that it is planning to phase out the redesigned naira notes from circulation. The CBN Acting Director, Corporate Communications Department, Isa AbdulMumin, said this via a statement issued on Sunday.
