Governor Ahmadu Fintiri has pardoned two inmates of correctional centres in Adamawa State. The pardon is exercised according to the governor’s constitutional powers in honour of Nigeria’s 64th independence celebration. A man identified as Shehu Usman has sued his niece and sister-in-law, Hauwa’u Muhammad and Jamila Kasim, respectively, in a Shari’a court sitting at Magajin Gari, Kaduna State for allegedly intimidating his wife. The defendants are being charged with intent insult, intimidation and trespass.
