The Ohanaeze Ndigbo socio-cultural organization, has authenticated the handwritten letter by the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Nnamdi Kanu, to self-acclaimed Biafra agitator, Simon Ekpa. The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA, has reacted to the shooting of two persons in Mushin, Lagos by its operatives during a clash with a drug baron. The deceased persons were reportedly shot dead when NDLEA operatives clashed with some drug barons during a special raid of a notorious drug cartel joint in the area on Wednesday night. Kidnappers have demanded a sum of N15 million after kidnapping a retired teacher, Banjo Idowu, on his farm in Osun state. The Lagos State Government has commenced the vaccination of domesticated animals to prevent the spread of Anthrax disease in the state. The Permanent Secretary of the Lagos State Ministry of Agriculture, Olatokunbo Emokpae, said this in a statement on Friday. Emokpae said the government has also enhanced the surveillance of abattoirs and slaughter slabs in the state. Emokpae stated that the vaccination of domesticated animals free of charge will also be conducted alongside the inspection exercise. Not less than 100 faulty vehicles have been impounded by the Kano Vehicle Inspection Officers in the last six months, including two vehicles owned by its staff. The Kano VIO Director of Road Traffic Department, Hassan Garba, said this on Friday .
