A 54-year-old murder suspect, Nkeruewen Etuk, says he beat his girlfriend, Esther Ndereke, to death for carelessly burning his rice and almost setting his apartment ablaze in Cross River State. The Bauchi State Government has suspended six traditional rulers have been suspended for partisan politics, misconduct, and illegal forest reserve invasion or tree fall. Acting Permanent Secretary in the Bauchi State Local Government Service Commission,Nasiru Dewu confirmed this on Friday. The Kano State Government has ordered the immediate suspension of three principals of public secondary schools in the state for dereliction of duty. The state Director, Public Enlightenment, Ministry of Education, Ameen Yassar, confirmed the development in a statement on Friday. Fawaz Adebisi The  principal of  Government Day Secondary School, Saminaka in Lapai Local Government Area of Niger State, Ndatsu Yahaya has been demoted to a classroom teacher for allegedly embezzling the WAECand NECO fees of 53 pupils .
