Soyinka spoke against the backdrop of his 89th birthday celebration. Soyinka said traditionalists had been neglected for too long in the nation, saying they have had enough. Lagos Magistrate’s Court has remanded a 24-year-old Sales apprentice, Michael Emenike, for allegedly conniving with four others to defraud his employer of the sum of N7,000,000. The police at the Area ‘A’ Command, Lion Building, Lagos Island, Lagos, arrested the apprentice and four others charged them over the alleged fraud included Bright Ndubuishi, 28; Kekereekun Nofisat, 28; a POS Operator, Onyinyechi Nwankwo Mary, 22 and Chinedu Obialor, 25. A Lagos-based female lawyer, Ebikpolade Helen has been arrested by operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency for trafficking hard drugs . The female Lawyer reportedly specialises in the production and distribution of skuchies, a mixture of cannabis, opioids, and black currant in Akwa, the Anambra State. The lawyer was arrested following an earlier seizure of 5kg cannabis and 12 bottles of prepared skuchies in her apartment in the Lekki area of Lagos State. Animal health experts have called on animal health workers to give accurate and prompt report of Animal Diseases. This call was made during a 2-day training workshop in Abeokuta organised by the Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (FMARD) for animal health workers in the State.
