Governor of Nasarawa State, Abdullahi Sule says that he denied himself sleep to sign 300 Certificates of Occupancy in one night. The governor also claimed that his burning desire to open up the state for investments prompted him to deny himself sleepless nights. A 19-year old lady, who was allegedly gang-raped by six boys in Anam, Anambra West Local Government Area of the state has narrated her experience. A 74-year-old former chaplain, prof. Yusufu Obaje and a 39-year-old pastor with the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Olive, Sanni Abimbola have been arrested for allegedly obtaining the sum of N34m under false pretence. The Anambra State government has announced the immediate closure of Blessed Wisdom Model School at Ide Drive, Federal Housing Estate, Onitsha, over the flogging of a two-year-old pupil. A 24-year-old Keke Napep operator, Chigozie Nwokoro, has said that he killed his girlfriend after she denied him sex. Nwokoro said the demand to make love to her caused a fight between them which led to her death. A Borno State High Court, Maiduguri has sentenced a man, Danladi Mohammed to one-year imprisonment for converting the proceeds of 8000 pieces of camping lanterns which he claimed were to be supplied to a United Nations agency. Mohammed was dragged to court by the Maiduguri Zonal Command of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission before Justice Umaru Fadawu .
