The European Union Election Observation Mission has disclosed that the political parties that participated in the 2023 presidential elections spent N29m on campaign between January and March,2023. The mission explained that the amount was spent at the peak of the election campaign period. According to the EU Election Observation Mission report, a total of N28,784,369 was spent on paid political content on Facebook and Instagram by political parties. A 42-year-old man, Chukwuemeka Nwachukwu on Friday was dragged before an Ojo Magistrates’ Court in Lagos for allegedly duping one Pastor Oliver Ogbuagu of N1 million. The defendant was said to have obtained the money under a false pretence to help th cleric purchase a Volkswagen T4 bus. Nwachukwu was arraigned before Magistrate D.S. Two pilots on board of a fighter jet belonging to the Nigerian Air Force on Friday escaped death as the aircraft crashed in Makurdi, Benue State capital.
