The Ogun State Chapter of the Freelance and Independent Broadcasters Association of Nigeria ,FIBAN, has constituted a caretaker committee to steer the association pending the conduct of a fresh election . The association at its congress  held on Tuesday, at the Association’s secretariat, Nawar-Ul-Deen in Abeokuta, sacked all the executive members and replaced them with caretaker committee following some crises in the association. Rising from its  Congress, the state chapter of FIBAN said the association has not rebranded, adding that, it remains one all over  the country. Peace Adedigba A Magistrate Court, sitting in Makurdi, Benue  State,on Tuesday, remanded  23 persons in a correctional centre for allegedly causing crisis in Oju Local Government Area of Benue state The defendants were charged with  criminal conspiracy, culpable homicide, inciting public disturbance, mischief by fire, illegal possession of firearms and acts of terrorism. The presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Atiku Abubakar and his party will on Thursday, close their case at the Presidential Election Petition Court, challenging the emergence of president Bola Ahmed Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress. An Appeal Court in Port Harcourt, the Rivers State capital, has set aside a bench warrant of arrest issued against the former Governor of the state, Rotimi Amaechi and two others. The others are the Governorship Candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the 2023 elections, Tonye Cole and the Commissioner for Power in the Amaechi administration, Austine Wokocha. Fawaz Adebisi A Sexual Offence and Domestic Violence Court, in Ikeja has sentenced a man, Eniola Ibrahim, to life imprisonment for raping his girlfriend. The court said it was established that  Ibrahim raped his girlfriend in his residence at Lateef Dosumu street of the state, in June 2021. He was however arraigned on Dec. 1, 2021, when he pleaded not guilty to the charge.
