No fewer than 2,322 lives and property worth N25.741 trillion have been rescued in fire outbreaks from 2015 till March 2023 by operatives of the Federal Fire Service The FFS disclosed this in a National Fire Statistics signed by the Spokesman of the Service, Mr Paul Abraham, on Sunday in Abuja. A breakdown of the figures showed that the Service received 12,471 fire calls within the period under review. Former Minister of Aviation, Senator Hadi Sirika, has said that he did not pay a dime for chattering the Ethiopian Airlines aircraft that was used for the unveiling of Nigeria Air. The Federal Government was reported to have flown in a Boeing 737-800 series aircraft belonging to Ethiopian Airlines into Abuja for the unveiling of Nigeria Air. A Senior Advocate of Nigeria, Femi Falana, on Sunday, advised the Department of State Services to transfer the suspended CBN governor, Godwin Emefiele, to the custody of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission for further investigation.
