The Central Bank of Nigeria’s monthly economic report for February 2023 has revealed that the Federal Government spent a total of N408.5 billion, equivalent of 85.37 percent of its revenue on debt servicing. The CBN’s monthly economic report for February 2023 highlighted that the Federal Government had a total retained revenue of N478.57 billion during that month. The presidential election petition tribunal has dismissed an application filed by the Labour Party (LP) seeking to question the Independent National Electoral Commission on the technology deployed for the conduct of the election. A five-member panel led by Haruna Tsammani, held on Saturday, that the tribunal lacked the jurisdiction to grant the request because it was brought outside the pre-hearing session. The application, tagged CA/PEPC/03/2023, was filed by the LP and Peter Obi, the party’s presidential candidate. Former Governor of Ondo State, Dr Olusegun Mimiko, has raised the alarm over the high level of brain drain among medical doctors in the country, saying, native doctors may take over health sector .
