The IMF which described the adoption as “not an unexpected outcome” blamed the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) for using a less effective approach. The Kebbi State Government has suspended two officials of the state Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education for insolence. Two officials of the Eko Electricity Distribution Company (EKEDC) have been electrocuted in the Obalende area of Lagos Island, Lagos State. The Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Benjamin Hundeyin confirmed the incident, saying, the case was reported to the Lion Building Division of the command by another member of staff of the EKEDC from the Lagos Island at about 5.55 p.m. on Saturday, May 20. No fewer than 37 parents of the missing girls in Chibok Community in Borno State have lost their lives to heartbreak since 2014. In April 2014, 276 schoolgirls were kidnapped from a government secondary school in Chibok, a town in Borno State. Some of the girls escaped captivity on their own, while others were later released following intense campaigning efforts by civil society organizations and negotiations by the government.
