The Ogun State government has shut down three industries for environmental infractions and two unregistered companies for operating illegally in the Ogere axis of the Lagos -Ibadan Expressway. A yam farmer in the Obeledu town, Anaocha Local Government Area of Anambra State, Mr Kenneth Ifeakandu has won five hundred thousand Naira for harvesting 95kg yam in the community. A 32-year-old man identified as Bashir Umar, has been arrested for allegedly luring an eight-year-old girl into a restroom, torturing and sexually assaulting her. The Police Command spokesman, DSP Lawan Adam, who confirmed the incident in a statement on Sunday, explained that Umar is from Galamawa town, Dutse Local Government Area of the state. Troops of the Nigerian Army have captured a suspected female kidnappers’ informant in Taraba State. Captain Oni Olubodunde, Acting Assistant Director of Army Public Relations, 6 Brigade, Jalingo, explained that the suspect was arrested on 6th September 2024 by the troops at Sondi village in Wukari LGA of the state.
