The Igbein Council of Traditional Chiefs has moved to permanently terminate the membership of five suspended chiefs after a thorough investigation confirmed their involvement in fraud, extortion, and abuse of office. Morenikeji Adebayo Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde has said that he would unveil the identity of his preferred successor in January 2026. Balqees Adeniji Ondo State Police command says it has arrested three suspects accused of attacking members of the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) in Ogbese, Ondo State.
