Operatives of Operation Puff Adder of the Bayelsa State Police Command and officials of the Nigerian Immigration Service in Lagos have rejected a bribe of N4 million offered by George Idumangi, the prime suspect in the murder of Bayelsa estate agent, Richard Ekpebu. Human rights lawyer, Deji Adeyanju, has petitioned the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC), demanding a probe into the alleged mismanagement of N283.3 billion received during the six-month tenure of Vice Admiral Ibok-Ete Ekwe Ibas (retd) as Sole Administrator of Rivers State.
