The National Association of Resident Doctors (NARD) has raised alarm that more than one in three Nigerian children under the age of five is malnourished, describing the crisis as a major public health emergency threatening the nation’s future. Tragedy struck on Thursday in Benin City, Edo State, as the Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Edo State Command, Mr. Gbenga Agun, slumped and died shortly after delivering a keynote address at a public event. Suspected bandits have abducted two councillors and a community Imam in Tsauni, Gusau Local Government Area of Zamfara State.
