The Lagos State Task Force has dismissed two of its officers for allegedly stealing phones during a raid at a hotel in Gowon Estate. Abdulraheem Gbadeyan, the agency’s spokesperson, disclosed this in a statement on Friday, identifying the dismissed officers as Fatai Yusuf, 42, and Hammed Garuba, 38. An herbalist, Ismail Usman, is fighting for his life after a failed attempt to test a self-made ‘bulletproof’ charm by shooting himself in the stomach. The bizarre incident occurred on November 23, 2024, at Kuchibuyi Village in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja. The Ogun State Police Command has confirmed the death of Fatai Hamzat, who allegedly hanged himself  on Saturday in the Ijeun Tuntun area of Abeokuta. Gen. Yakubu Gowon, a former Head of State, has revealed that he pleaded with the late Gen. Sani Abacha to spare former President Olusegun Obasanjo from execution over the alleged coup plot in 1995.
