The Nigerian National Committee of the International Press Institute (IPI Nigeria) has issued a stern warning to Inspector-General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, demanding the immediate release of a  journalist Daniel Ojukwu. Former Kano State Governor, Malam Ibrahim Shakarau, has cautioned  the federal government against allowing the operatives of the proposed state police to carry firearms and other dangerous weapons. The management of Osun State University Teaching Hospital, Osogbo, Osun State, has threatened to embark on mass burial for unclaimed nodies in its t mortuary . The hospital has however given  a 14-day window for families with bodies in the hospital’s mortuary between January 2019 and June 2023 to claim them..
