 In a recent development, the Yobe State Police has  apprehended Adamu Gambo Hudu, a lecturer employed at the State General Hospital in Potiskum, on charges of allegedly raping a female student. Kano Municipal Local Government Council authorities in Kano State have officially acknowledged the presence of a measles outbreak in certain regions within the local government area. The Plateau Command of the Nigerian Correctional Service says it has not reduced the quantity and quality of food rations for inmates. Spokesman of the command, Mr Godfrey Longdiem, stated this in Jos on Saturday while reacting to media reports that inmates at the Jos Custodial Centre protested over shortage of food on Friday.
